What is your third year of study?
In order to establish a specialism for my 3rd year projects, I have been given a list of questions to answer to reflect on my previous years.
What did you score for fashion support module in year 2
I received 62%
What did you score for textiles support module in year 2
I received 72%
What did you score for studio module in year 2 – semester 1 & 2
Semester 1: 67% and Semester 2: 70%
What was your industry brief – fashion or fashion & textiles?
Fashion with print, I opted for the childrenswear project which I really enjoyed as it was a new area for me to try.
What was your outcome for the denim project – Fashion or textiles?
I produced a textiles printed denim length, with a 3 colour repeat.
What is your career aspiration?
To be a print designer or to undertake a masters degree in fashion management.
How do you rate your attendance?
Very good, I will try and be in 4 days a week.
How would you rate your current fashion awareness?
Very strong, especially with current Industry changes, designers and fashion shows.
How do you rate your pattern cutting skills?
I think they could be improved, however I am able to alter a pattern to my needs.
How would you rate your fashion construction skills?
I think my construction skills are good as I can use a sewing machine and an overlocker well, however they could be improved further.
How would you rate your Photoshop skills?
Very good, with continuous improvement . My portfolio skills have developed a large amount from the first semester.
How would you rate your Illustrator skills?
Good with continuous improvement, I would like to learn new skills in order to develop further.
How would you rate your knowledge of print room processes?
Very good, I know many of the print room processes due to a lot of practise.
How able are you to put textiles designs into repeat?
Very able, I can use codatrace paper and digital print design to create repeat prints.
How would you rate your use of colour?
Very good at selecting colour palettes, I like to use bright and bold colours mixed with black to create a contrast.
How would you rate your drawing skills?
I think they could be improved, I choose to use line drawing as my preferred style as it produces successful drawings.
